Thank you, my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell that the "Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is rolling out a new public awareness campaign for Real ID as the deadline to obtain compliant identification draws nearer. Travelers will not be able to board a flight without a Real ID or alternative identification starting October 1, 2020.

Thankfully military ID including retired military ID meets the requirements

"We want the public to make sure they're aware. It's just another layer of security," Tomas Cuellar, TSA transportation safety manager, told CBS News.
Congress passed the Real ID Act into law in 2005 following a recommendation from the 9/11 Commission on setting national security standards for state drivers' licenses and ID cards. Enforcement of those requirements, however, has repeatedly been delayed. Real IDs require state applicants to submit paperwork to prove who they are and their established residence in the U.S. TSA Administrator David Pekoske said the move to Real ID will "dramatically improve commercial aviation security."

"Additional forms of identification that may be used in conjunction with a state driver’s license to request access to the installation are as follows:
United States Passport or United States Passport Card
PIV-I Card (Personnel Identification Verification-Interoperable) issued by the Federal Government
US Military ID (All Members of the US Armed Forces, including retires and Dependent ID card Holders and Veterans
Veteran Health Identification Card Issued by the US Department of Veterans Affairs
DHS "Trusted Traveler" Cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card
Driver's License Issued by the US Department of State
Border Crossing Card
US Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Citizenship (Form-550)
Permanent Resident Card/Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551)

Good idea. We are not affected. Passport. Military ID will suffice.
