Thanks for letting us know SSgt (Join to see) that VA Mental Health Care delays and staff shortages continue to plague veterans who need treatment so badly. I know the problems are not nationwide and hope that they will be addressed soon.

Eric Golnick, CEO, of Veterans and First Responders Healthcare, along with Eric Frieman, of Strive Healthcare, have opened an outpatient program in PA, NJ and NH, and the VA, has partnered with them as well as were invited to the O'Bama, White House and met with the Trump Administration. They want to expand to Houston, with me as their connection to the Veteran groups here, and the also want to expand to the West Coast.

SSG (Join to see) I hope I have tagged the original poster, I'm a civilian and if your settings exclude your screen name to us, you are "Anonymous" to me. And that is a great place to start my reply to your question. NONE of our Service members, Veterans or their Family are "anonymous" to me. I am military family, and so: you're family I have not yet met. That being the case, anything less than giving our Veterans hope and support is not acceptable. The only way we can change that is to do as you are doing and rally common voices and support. Most people don't know what REAL "Veterans Service Organizations" actually are and what they actually do. Their "services" to Veterans is not something I can expand in here, because that's a thesis dissertation! However, what I can say is this: REAL "VSO's" by dictionary --- and Congressional law -- are 501c4... yes, FIVE-Oh-ONE-C-FOUR (not three, FOUR!) nonprofit organizations devoted to social welfare and can participate in politics (501c3 nonprofits are banned from this activity). 501c4 Veterans Service Organizations can LOBBY at the local, state, and Federal level. These are the organizations that fight for you in Congress. They are VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and a host of others. They all have eligibility requirements, and so I stick to pointing out the one with the broadest scope: AMVETS, and the one with the target on Veterans benefits: DAV. My suggestion to all is to get involved with your local chapter of AMVETS and DAV and use their POWER. It's YOUR power, too. Unfortunately, too few younger Veterans and the more active components don't know this. It's time, y'all. It's time. There are channels, grab them and take them. Every single Congressman and Senator has a Veterans liaison staffer, often one or more. And on their legislative team, there's a staffer devoted to Veterans issues and another to healthcare issues. Call them. Go see them! They all have offices "at home" in your state. Usually more than one office so that they have locations to see more constituents. THEY WANT TO SEE YOU! They really do. Actually going to your Congressman ir Senator's office and speaking saliently about the issues that matter to you is your right, their duty, and they want to support you... they really do. Also, in your STATE Governor's office is a department on veterans affairs. This is NOT connected to the VA, the Directors (or Secretary or Commissioner different States, different titles) has the job of directing -- or at least watching impotently with no budget -- your State's veterans services. Call them. Go see them. This is your infrastructure. OP and others, would you like me to do a video on this? I'll take the time if you feel it's worthwhile to share the education. I'll teach y'all where to go... and then I want to SEE you go, OK? Lt Col Charlie Brown Alan K. LTC Jeff Shearer (Join to see) SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth COL Mikel J.
