In the mid-1960s the changes in South Vietnamese leaders occurred so often so often it could make head spin SP5 Mark Kuzinski
In 1963 "the United States can no longer tolerate Ngo Dinh Nhu’s influence in President Ngo Dinh Diem’s regime" and by November Diem was assassinated.
Here I a listing of the Presidents of South Vietnam. Only Diem was assassinated in office

Dương Văn Minh President from 8 September 1964 to 26 October 1964 from Military (Army)
Phan Khắc Sửu President from 26 October 1964 to 14 June 1965 from Independent
