Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski
I did not realize it was that long ago that Gen. William Westmoreland changed command to Gen. Creighton Abrams on June 10, 1968.
Less than 2 decades later Gen. Creighton Abrams son Col Abrams was the instructor of my CAS3 class at Fort Leavenworth.

LTC Stephen F., I do concur. As far as the Vietnam war goes, we are the only ones to keep the memory alive, by dates, places, and ages. We can't depend on the schools to keep our kids, and grandkids informed. They barely touch on Vietnam and Korea.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski - the antibiotics seem to be helping my wife a lot. She has been able to sleep well the past two nights and hopefully will be able to sleep well tonight. Thank for asking.

Best thing he ever did for the veterans in the Vietnam war. Had he been a good commander, TET 68 would have never happened. They caught us with our britches down, and that should have never happened. In prior TET's, the NVA and VC would honor the holiday. In 1966 TET, we were across a divide from the NVA and VC. We were watching them to prevent exactly what happened in '68. We could see them and they could see us. They would wave and we would flip them off. Then, they would flip us off and laugh. Darnedest thing I ever saw. We just sat and watched each other. The next day, the war was back on.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski, Thanks, but I hope it didn't ruin your post. It's a personal feeling I have about him.

That is one of the reasons to post history on RP - Additions and stories from those that were there. Ruin my post? No way - again thanks for the addition!
