Interesting read. My key takeaway is that by refusing to call slaves property, instead equating them to indentured servants or persons held to service or labor, they set up the ability of Congress to abolish slavery at a later date.

Agree, interesting read but too much mismashing of time periods to me. Constitution addresses slavery in context of the times in which it was accepted practice.
