If it is like the place I iive, this is early voting with a limited number of places open. It's taking about 90 min-2 hours here and in a few sections 3 hours or more. However, on election day there will be four or five times as many locations. This has nothing to do with race although they would like you to think so.

I agree with you Charlie, but there are solutions to the problem, sounds like lack of planning to me.

SMSgt David A Asbury - our county is actively trying to recruit more poll workers. They just can't find enough people. And a lot of the current crew are retirees; many of whom are unwilling to leave quarantine apparently

I agree there is a shortage, but they can set up preventive measures to ease some of concerns. I know from experience working the Primary in May, the push was to add more people working less hours to reduce exposure for some. We ended up without major concerns but thanks to those who requested early mail in ballots also helped. In fact we didn't start with the counting until 7:30 at night and were done with the count by 10:45 PM. Before we had two shifts.

Should not be a reason they could not open up more polls, churches, schools and other areas could be used. The leaders in the town should recruit more people from the area where the shortages are happening and stronger drives registering to vote with change of addresses. This sounds more like a lack of knowledge for some voters.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Lines of voters? I do not recall ever waiting more than perhaps 5 or 10 minute to cast my ballot in a polling place. Was California actually better than some other states? Unbelievable. CPT Jack Durish Comments?
