Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that March 27 is the anniversary of the birth of German mechanical engineer and physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen who produced and detected electromagnetic radiation in a wavelength range known as X-rays or Röntgen rays, an achievement that earned him the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901.
It is noteworthy that in 2004 the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) named element 111, Roentgenium (Rg), Group 11, Atomic Number 111, d-block, Mass [280] in his honor.

Over the decades I have had many been through many x-rays and CSCANS which also use X-rays.
