When I carry a M1911 it is normally a SIG C3 in .45ACP.

I have an old Charles Daly, a Rock Island, a Para Commander Elite and a Nighthawk Custom that I built myself.

CW5 Jack Cardwell - Yes. All Nighthawk parts. I looked at EBW and a few others but I kept it all from one place. Shoots like a dream. I guess for $1,500 it should. I still need to cut the front serrations.

TSgt David L. my most accurate M1911 is one I built years ago on a Springfield Armory frame. Kart barrel. Set up as a bullseye gun. Years ago ! Back then from Ransom rest it would group 2 1/2 - 3 inches at 50 yards with Federal match ball. I was building Match M14s and M1911s for the NC National Guard at the time.

CW5 Jack Cardwell - Sounds like a nice gun. I'm considering a Kart barrel for my Para 1911 rebuild. Trying to tighten it up a bit.

My normal carry is a Kimber Stainless Pro-Carry II in .45ACP. I also have a Colt Govt. Mod. Series 70, and in the past have carried a Sig GSR and a Sig Compact, both in 45.
