Very interesting look back at our border with Mexico. Interesting to think about how much technology has changed since this time. At the 8:04 mark, take note of soldiers with hands in their pockets. Yes it was a problem back then too ! Lol !

Scope & Content: On border patrol activities against Mexican bandits in 1916. Reel 1, inf. and art. unit, including the 4th F.A., pack mules and set up a camp near the border. Gen. Hoyt visits the camp. Reel 2, inf. units entrain and arrive at Columbus, N.M. Mountain artillery units at Ft. Bliss, Tex., load mules, enter the Sierra Madre Mts., practice range finding, treat wounded at a field hospital, and set up a portable radio station. A pontoon bridge is built and crossed by mules and vehicles. Mortars and artillery are positioned.
