Both sides will delate each other of wrong doing. Yet, nowadays there is no compromise ! Just steady fighting between the two parties. Neither side has the best interest when it come's to the people they represent. Remember ! They are suppose to work for U.S. !
I do find this skit most humorous and interesting though.....

delate
verb dih-LAYT
Definition :
1 : accuse, denounce
2 : report, relate
Did You Know ?
To delate someone is to "hand down" that person to a court of law. In Latin, delatus is the unlikely-looking past participle of deferre, meaning "to bring down, report, or accuse," which in turn comes from ferre, meaning "to carry." Not surprisingly, our word defer, meaning "to yield to the opinion or wishes of another," can also be traced back to deferre. At one time, in fact, defer and delate had parallel meanings (both could mean "to carry down or away" or "to offer for acceptance"), but those senses are now obsolete. Today, you are most likely to encounter delate or its relatives delation and delator in the context of medieval tribunals, although the words can also relate to modern ecclesiastical tribunals.
Examples :
Hepzibah was brought to trial after being delated for the practice of witchcraft.
"Persons who are delated must first swear to tell the truth concerning themselves and others; if they confess, the judge proceeds accordingly." — H. Ansgar Kelly, Speculum, October 2019.

The career politicians are destroying our country. They just do what they need to get elected and remain in office without regard to what's best for our country. They serve themselves not us!

This is wonderful. And so very true.
It seems one arm of our government constantly delates the other of obstruction.

Lol because it's true! Both sides constantly obstruct the other! We need a third party to keep a balance. I've been saying that for decades and it's like beating my head against a brick wall. It will never happen.

Creedence Clearwater Revival: Before You Accuse Me
Creedence Clearwater Revival Before You Accuse Me Cosmo's Factory Lyrics: Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself. Before you accuse me, take a look at...
Thank you, my friend SGT John " Mac " McConnell for sharing the word of the day which is a verb in this case. As somebody who been stationed and lived near Washington, DC since 1989 I am all-to familiar with the nefarious practice of delating which is the present participle of delate. :-)
I am focusing my diatribe on the first definition :-) Delate meaning to accuse, denounce.
Debating is honorable activity. Even demagogues and dictators have debated on their way up. They tended to stack the deck in terms of judges :-)
Here in the D.C. area, there are many who delate simply based on an biased oped or "news" broadcast innuendo. Some Congressional staffers may well have been hired on the basis of their skills at dredging up documents and material on potential adversaries in order to delate them and thus publicly defame.
I could find no delating songs - but I think this captures the idea.

Very true my friend LTC Stephen F. . I was also thinking that one will get hired to delate Like you addressed above. Only to be used by the other side to delate when it doesn't work out for their side. BTW, great song brother . Have a great day.
