The Great Lakes Big Rig Challenge is an event we've wanted to attend ever since seeing videos emerge in 2018. Onaway Speedway built this 700ft long uphill drag strip specifically for Big Rig Racing and it is the only uphill drag strip in the United States. Though relatively new to the United States, Big Rig Racing has been going on in Québec, Canada for over 3 decades.

When Living In Michigan I'd Heard About Those Races, But Never Actually Saw One.
I Did However, Get To Take A Fire Truck From Our Indiana Plant To Michigan,
To Have Some Frame Work Done... I Could Hardly Wait To Open Her Up On The Freeway,
But When I Put My Foot On The Gas Peddle, It Hacked & Coughed;
Some SOB Had Put A Governor On Her; And She Maxed Out At 45 MPH... ~AWE CRAP~.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney Brother Rick yea that governor reminds me of my M915A1 16 speed slap stick which max out at 55 going down the Yakima Pass in Washington St in the early 2000's while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington.
