I have one question. Was there ever a battle at Valley Forge? I believe Valley Forge were a set of eight encampments of the Continental Army led by Gen Gen George Washington.

That is quite a camp they built and have set up there. Looks like they could at least get in out of the elements. Must have been a well fortified area. Early Corps of Engineer work too. Amazing illustrations . . . wondering who did them.

MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. My 5th Great Grandfather, William McClure was in the 2nd Reg't of the New York continental line in Capt Charles Graham's Company and was with Washington's Army at Valley Forge.
