LTC (Join to see) Problem with those put in charge of going green, not necessarily the concept of going green.

Some of the Democrats want to bring that system of government here assuring everyone to trust them they would put a human face on it.........as nobody has been able to do in the past.

Do not agree that they want to bring that system of government here. For one we don't have an elected dictator, if you're talking socialism, it's already here, think Social Security, Medicare, Food Stamps, Interstate Highways, etc., etc.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Not really. Both Social Security and Medicare are pay-in insurance systems where to draw benefits you have to pay into them. They would be socialist if they drew their funds from general tax revenues with no coorelating pay-in premium by the individual. While it is true there is no opt-out, and if an individual invested the money on their own they could do better financially....which does meet the definition of a socialist program. They do not meet the taxpayer subsidy threshold. Food Stamps is a voluntary social program with an opt-in and opt-out. It fails to meet the mandatory threshold of a socialist programs but does in fact draw from taxpayer funds. None of these programs make us a socialist system and most do not even meet the definition of socialist program.

What I find humorous about Canada and it's adherence to strict pollution requirements to combat "Climate Change". What is really happening can best be examined by looking at the Canadian Railroad system. Both CP - Canadian Pacific and CN - Canadian National are abiding by Canada's pollution controls but they are not doing so system wide. In fact the are sending their diesel locomotives that pollute more South of the Border into the United States or sending them to lease fleets into both the United States and Mexico. In effect they are meeting the pollution requirements of Canada North of the Border but they are both far exceeding what is legal in Canada South of the Canadian border.........this gaming of the national system in place in Canada is exactly why and how Global Climate Change treaties will never work on a global scale. They are futile anyway since mankind cannot influence the climate on a Global Scale even if we spent terra-trillions of dollars on climate change. Thought the Canadian example was rather humorous to share and I am sure Trudeau knows this gaming of the system is going on.

LTC (Join to see) - No what is happening is the railway systems are gaming the system not Trudeau. The latest pollution control locomotives that operate in Canada apparently are not as reliable as the older locomotives. The Older locomotives do not meet Tier 4 or 5...........I think they are Tier 1 or 2 which is still pretty clean with particulate matter. Anyhoo, CN and CP ship the older locomotives to the United States to operate on their rail system and sell to lease fleets as well. It's legal to do that because the pollution requirements in US with the older locomotives can be met with a waiver if they are rebuilt. The locomotives are not retired as they really should be. So Canada gets it's clean air stats but at the expense of those of the United States and Mexico....basically is what is going on there. I am sure the Trudeau administration knows this is going on because they have to sign off on the shipment of the property South at some point since it is taxable.......I would think. Unless there is a disconnect there and they do not check the emissions on export (that could be the issue as well).

LTC (Join to see) - Also watch the video below. What is also happening to the pollution controls is at high altitudes the secondary burn of the turbocharger does not work at high altitudes because of the air / fuel mixture is set for lower altitudes in which the locomotives usually operate, sometimes the crews do not reset for higher altitudes. So most people do not see this as it tends to happen at higher and much lower populated by human areas.........watch the pollution of the unburned fuel particulate matter high in the Colorado Rockies......one of the locomotives does not have it's fuel to air mixture level set right and you will see the smoke show in the link below.....
