When I started posting history questions last year I was told to stop tagging Military History and American History because I was posting so many civil war history posts. RallyPoint has American History, Ancient History, Military History and World History as well as Art History and History as a Major groups. Then there are groups for Civil War, War of 1812, WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, GWOT etc.
One would think that Military History would be sufficient for all war and military history but the sheer volume of information, interest in and posts related to military history necessitated a breakout of other topic groups.
Similarly Christianity is a faith with thousands of years of history, literature, experience, etc. The Bible is of interest to Christians and Jews and there are tens of thousands of original documents or fragments from ancient times extant so far. Each year more are uncovered. The Bible is inextricably linked to Bible Study but there is enough distinction to warrant two topic groups. Similarly Jesus the Christ is inextricably linked to Christianity but there is so much information available and interest in Jesus that multiple groups makes sense.
