Remember Pearl Harbor. I bought the movie recently at Goodwill for about $5. I am watching it and taking a bathroom break.
Many streaming services Charge to see old movies.

I went to Pearl Harbor as a kid in 1977 and as Captain in the USAR on a Civil Affairs Exercise in 2012. I stayed at Fort Schafter and Schofield Barracks.
I will never forget the fallen!

LTC Stephen Conway I downloaded this movie into my YouTube account. I love old movies because they are accurate to the event. Fortunately, I have a ROKU stick and there are many many old movies that are free, very good movies, at that.

I went there many times. I had two Uncles there that day. Both Survived. When I was stationed there, I used to visit the Arizona, and take the little Navy Yacht out...and at low tide you can see the turrets. and it is just humbling. My Uncles rarely talked about that day...what they talked about was taking the train down to Honolulu and then a Donkey driven cart to Waikiki....and on the North Shore, Local Hawaiians still lived in Grass shacks and fished by torchlight. It was a much different time.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Oh, and I forgot this little tidbit, apparently there was some kind of music show that went out over the Radio from a big hotel in Waikiki...and my Mom said her and Dad listened to it before the War. I forgot the name, but I think it was there for many years. My Mom loved that music.

How very interesting Brother Stephen!! Thank You so much for sharing this. I've never been to the Arizona. I've been to Waikiki and Tripler. My Dad ended up there when Him and my Mom went there for vacation and I flew over to be with Mom, going back and forth from the Hale Koa to the hospital.

LTC Stephen Conway - It was a beautiful place to stay Brother Stephen, and the price was right too, if I remember correctly. It was right next to the Hilton.
