RP Members and Connections Memorial Day is right around the corner and we need your help with placing a flower on every grave at the following cemeteries:
FORT LOGAN NATIONAL CEMETERY
ALABAMA NATIONAL CEMETERY
OREGON TRAIL STATE VETERANS CEMETERY
NATIONAL MEMORIAL CEMETERY OF ARIZONA
Victory for Veterans Foundation and Memorial Day Flowers Foundation have partnered up to make sure that we place a flower on every grave at these locations and we need your help.
(Please check all the links and important information below)
COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs will be leading the effort at Fort Logan National Cemetery. (See Link above for more details)
I'd like to have as many RallyPoint Members and their connections helping me in this great effort - this is what Memorial Day is all about.
Please pass this on to any of your business contacts in the Colorado area or companies that would sponsor this Memorial Day Flower on Every Grave effort at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Here are the links to the individual donations and volunteering. I'm actually going to be the representative on the ground in charge of this effort.

The start time will be 9:00 AM at the Information Center on Fort Logan National Cemetery.
I'll be there a little before 9:00 AM on my motorcycle wearing my ALR Post 178 Vest. We'll start right at 10:00 AM sharp on Memorial Day laying flowers on certain sections of the cemetery. Depending on how many donations and sponsors we get, each individual will get a bucket of 125 roses to lay on the graves or pass out to families who don't have flowers.
WAIT – We’re looking for a leader for the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ to take the lead at that cemetery. Please get in touch with COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs ASAP. Here are the links for Arizona:

Not close to Houston National Cemetery but they do I believe place flags on every grave. Always say a prayer for those who gave all. I remember we called it "Decoration Day" when I was young, we decorated all graves of vets with home grown flowers, had a firing squad of local Legion Post (Ackles-Roberts Post) and when I was in high school, I played taps at each service. We went to three rural cemeteries.
