Jamie Dimon (/ˈdaɪmən/; born March 13, 1956) is an American business executive. He is Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, the largest of the big four American banks, and previously served on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.[4][5] Dimon was included in Time magazine's 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2011 lists of the world's 100 most influential people. He was also on Institutional Investor's lists of best CEOs in the All-America Executive Team surveys from 2008 through 2011.[6][not in citation given]
Research published at the University of Oxford characterizes Dimon's leadership style as paradigmatic of "founder centrism" – which is a founder's mindset, an ethical disposition towards the shareholder collective, and an intense focus on exponential value creation.[7]
Dimon is one of the few bank chief executives to become a billionaire, thanks in part to a US$485 million stake in JPMorgan Chase.[8] He received a $23 million pay package for the fiscal year 2011, more than any other bank CEO in the United States.[9] Dimon received $20 million in compensation for his work in the fiscal year 2013.[10] He earned $29.5 million in 2017.[1]
