Is blaming former Presidents or other political leaders going to give our Country solutions to every issue?

Let us stop blaming former presidents and political leaders for every issue with our national interests because such blame games do not solve the problems. Like Trump, every President has had their share of successes and misgivings; this is life. Dwelling on misgivings without mentioning successes of any leader is misleading. Let's work together in a bipartisan manner to build solutions.

I believe that some folks (and i caveat this with both sides) can't see forward or even where they are currently standing due to this issue. What we call Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is rampant and there are folks that would rather watch America burn to the grown while playing fiddles just to ensure he was burned up too. There are folks on here that blame Obama for a lot of stuff as well and even to the point they are calling Biden OBiden.
Your point is valid. As Pumba from the Lion King stated you have to put your behind in the past. We can't go back and fix mistakes that past presidents have made...all we can do is hold current administrations in check with accountability to the people they serve. I was not a Clinton or a Bush 2 fan at all but they did do some good. Was not a Obama fan nor Trump fan but each one of them had some good come out of the administration. I am not a Biden fan either and when he is gone, I am gonna try my level headed best to not reach back with whataboutisms because they don't matter.
My issue with the blame game is it may end up making future presidents hesitate on certain decisions. Sometimes they have to make split second decisions based on the information they have at that second and maybe later it was the wrong decision, or the intel was faulty or maybe it was the wrong time or whatever. If we continue to Monday morning quarterback and take away Presidential Immunity et al their decision-making abilities for risk mitigation will be diminished...it is human nature to avoid trouble.
Good point to discuss and I agree we need to put all of the past behind us and focus on the here and now and our future with the decision us and they make today.

Here's my issue with just leaving in to history. In a vast majority of the instances, politicians were warned that the crap they were pushing was bad and they pushed it anyways.

Should we forgive Woodrow Wilson for desegregation the federal government?

Should we forgive LBJ for his 'Great Society', which didn't and hasn't changed a thing except created the 'welfare' class and social programs so firmly entrenched that the vast majority of our governmental spending is on those programs?

Should we forgive Obama and the democrats for lying about keeping your doctor and creating health care welfare?

Should we forgive Trump for the covid lockdown that ushered in virtual total government control over our lives?

Should we forgive Biden for his rampant overreach on unConstitutional things like red flag law, student loan forgiveness, and attacks on free speech?

You can if you want CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana, I will not.

It will give us none. And it will dissuade future ones from taking actions that they might be "blamed for" even though that is the only real sensible course of action (think Hiroshima)

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana appreciate your effort... however... how can we ignore what 45 is promising if elected a second term... he did too damn much damage on the first term & still hasn't be held accountable. VOTE YOUR FUTURE!

Under Trumps guidance the US would end up with the greatest death total in the world due to COVID. Our total was around 1 million. India was next with 1/2 million.

SGT (Join to see) and MAJ Ken Landgren, I agree that former POTUS Trump has promised an end to Democracy and bloodshed across the Country, and a constitutional change to make him President for Life. He thoughts of the U.S. are skewed. He is really vengeful and he is very selfish. However, despite his ill-intentioned comments his support base is the same. Some Americans are well educated, yet they behave like illiterates which is why we elect leaders like 45.
