I wonder how many young people have heard this song and it's power message and have opted to load up and head back home? I wonder home many service men and women have heard this song......took a look around their barracks, or their forward operations conex box and said this is my home now?

I trust that you, your wife and mother are settling well into your new home at The Woodlands, Texas.
I expect in your home, you consistently demonstrate service leadership as you minister to and encourage those in need. Most likely you approach life, business relationships, family activities with eyes wide open and are not easily fooled or taken advantage of. No doubt you have trained your direct offspring and helped train other family’s offspring as you lead by example demonstrating respect for each person you interact with independent of age, health, color, heritage, social standing or any other basic characteristics. I expect those who trust your leadership, advice and guidance are encouraged to emulate your demonstration of servant leadership. ‘Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.’ [Colossians 2:7 ESV] my brother-in Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.

I pray LORD that YOU cleanse each of YOU adopted sons and daughters of any impurity which inhibits YOUR love from flowing through us. I pray that YOUR light shines through each of when we enter a room, home, mode of common transportation. Empower us bring calm and peace into areas of turmoil. Enable our smile to be contagious. ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.’ [Psalm 51:10-12 ESV]
I lift deployed service members and other deployed individuals, their family members, and others who depend on them to YOU LORD. I pray that you bless the deployed individuals with discernment and ability to rest sufficiently to perform their missions and duties alert and focused well. I pray they are each equipped well and technically knowledgeable and motivated to perform their duties. I pray for safety, security and good health for each of the family members of the deployed service members. I pray that YOU enable and motivate the deployed service members to write letters to their family – especially for spouses and young children. 'He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers.' [Malachi 4:6 ESV]
I pray for peace, joy, and grace to endure for each homeless family, homeless veterans, widows, widowers, street children and each other person who is in desperate need of trustworthy human companionship and fellowship. I pray that YOU motivate great listeners with time, energy and resources to get in contact with each one and help as best they can. ‘The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. [Lamentations 3:22-23]
Remember the admonition of the LORD, do your best to be dignified, sober-minded, self-controlled and steadfast in sound doctrine. HE reminds us in Titus 2 ‘But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, self-controlled, sound in faith, in love, and in steadfastness. Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled [Titus 2:1-5 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Friday night and awoke refreshed and healthy on Saturday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good morning and welcome back Col Burroughs. You were certainly missed.
What a lovely topic for a RED Friday. I bet all those deployed miss home!

Home is the place we feel safe, we feel loved, we feel protected. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have that but for those of us who do, we know how much it means. Much like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, sometimes we don't appreciate home until we've left it.

"I want my home to be that kind of place--a place of sustenance, a place of invitation, a place of welcome." - Mary DeMuth, Live Uncaged

“Nothing can bring a real sense of security into the home except true love.” – Billy Graham

“Home isn’t where you’re from, it’s where you find light when all grows dark.” – Pierce Brown

"Your home is a physical and perhaps emotional comfort zone where you can heal and recover enough to address all your work problems the next morning.” – Zak Khan
