2 weeks ago I started a discussion/survey about why people don't seek help for PTSD. After reading all of the responses I had an idea that I decided to pursue that I think can help immensely. I thought what if there was a place you could go to to get help for PTSD anonymously? Whether it was from Combat, Sexual Assault or Domestic Violence. That way there would be no fear of the stigma, nothing in your medical records, and no judgement for what you might have to say. You can let it out and remain anonymous and still get help from counselors who have volunteered to do so.

The name I came up with is PTSDecompress.com I think it sounds catchy when you say it out-loud. I have been working very hard on this for the last 2 weeks while I've been on con-leave. I am almost done with it and would love some feedback from my friends here on RP. It is absolutely free. If you have a moment please register on there and try and post something so that I can test the concept. I've run some small tests on my own, but need some feedback from people going through the process. Thanks again. I really hope this is successful.

There is also a "VENT Button" so that when something happens at Walmart that just sets you off, you can pull out your phone and let it out before you explode! Im definitely going to need it during Black Friday.

SSG Robert Burns Took a look. Looks very promising. Outstanding effort. I think that there are many out there who have a distrust of even things like Military One Source, so the possibility of complete anonymity may be an added draw to get some to seek out help!

It is painful to think about how many may really be suffering from the things they have seen in the service of the Nation. And many really do not want to open up, and risk "exposure".

Truly great work SSG Robert Burns! It has a very welcoming and safe feeling to it. I like the RP-esqe posting style, especially the Rant.

Please check this site out and let SSG Robert Burns know what you think and spread the word. This has the potential to be something really great as a companion site to RP.

SSG Robert Burns I took the liberty of placing this in the PTSD section of Resources for Veterans & Service Members. Thanks for the heads up and info!
