In the age of technology, good and bad information is streaming rapidly. Very young children have computers, iPods, tablets, smart phones etc. as companions. Is man or machine preparing these young minds to succeed us at our deaths?

In many areas especially in home school and private school where traditional core education is still the foundation people with faith in Christ are teaching children how to learn instead of focusing on rote education., my friend PO3 Phyllis Maynard
If logic and reasoning is part of a curriculum that is a great sign that the children are being taught how to both discern and learn.
I don't decry the use of technology as long as it is viewed and used as a tool and not an end in itself or worse yet a babysitter :-)

Great question and time will tell. I have done all I can to help out the younger kids as well as my own. Again time will tell.

I believe my 11 yr old grandson is being raised on all three points, his mother and step mother are both disiplinerians and they use the proper punishments for infractions, his education is great, dad has a Masters in Science(Mechanical Engineering), step mother is working on her Masters in Nursing, mom has a great education background, step dad , and both mothers are teaching him excellent ethic skills, and grandpa teaches him respect for military personnel.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard - That he does Phyllis, and his disipline from grandpa is not needed, he's learned that I will not tolerate back talking and unruliness. He enjoys anything that revolves around the military.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth it is good he is exposed by you, the sacrifice that has been made and is still being made for him and other citizens to live free. And hopefully he will choose to pick up the mantle that you have gifted him with.
