Let's have some great picture memorabilia!
I'm really going out on a limb here with this one. There were some really great photos of RP Members in their very first uniform picture. Thanks for sharing everyone who participated - that is still going by the way!

Now let's get some pictures of the last days in uniform posted!

I am sure there is a picture of me somewhere with my last day in uniform. But I didn't separate from the military on very amicable terms so I would have no way of finding it.

Memorial Day 2009. This was actually 2.5 years AFTER I left active-duty and was in the IRR, but I decided to re-don the uniform in order to go pay my respects at the Veterans Cemetery in Westwood, CA.

Below is the last picture of me taken with my uniform on. I was stationed at the USNTC, San Diego, Calif. In the Dental Department, taking care of the Naval recruits dental needs. The dates of service were 1964-1966 at the Training center. I was 29 years of age. I graduated from the University of Oregon Dental School in June 1964.

CWO4 (Join to see) - It was an honor and pleasure to serve Jay! I continue you that traditon here on RallyPoint and helping other veterans through the programs listed below:
First, I wanted you to know that Victory for Veterans Just announced RIDE22 – check it out: https://www.rallypoint.com/shared-links/victory-for-veterans-ride-22-castle-rock-co
Secondly, I run a program each Sunday night called "Warriors for Life" on a video conference line. All the members come and go as they please and they're all RallyPoint Members that suffer from PTSD, TBI, MST, or other disabilities. We meet for 1 hour on different subjects. We've become very close friends all of us. You are welcome to participate, if you want. Just let me know.
Third, here are the Veteran Organizations that I’m involved in:
Member, Board of Directors for National Veterans Transition Service, Inc. (NVTSI). Helping Veterans successfully transition from the battlefront to the home front, NVTSI is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to assisting veterans in their reentry. We accomplish this by providing an early-stage cognitive-behavioral educational intervention, via a 3-week intensive workshop – REBOOT – followed by related mentoring and other services. Here is link to their website:
http://www.nvtsi.org
Chairman, Board of Directors, Victory for Veterans - As the Chairman of the Board provide strategic leadership and vision toward the mission of Victory for Veterans to fund non-profits serving Veterans experiencing the emotional challenges of PTSD, depression, loneliness, anger and others that often can trigger joblessness and lead to homelessness. These factors are partial explanations for the high suicide rate among Veterans, currently around 22 per day. Check out the website:

As Director, Military Debt Acquisition and Relief, I am responsible for debt acquisition and relief strategies for this great non-profit organization – RIP Medical Debt. My role is to oversee the purchase of portfolios which contain military service member as well as civilian healthcare debt from major healthcare groups. This would include hospitals, healthcare debt buyers, physician groups, emergency medical services (EMS) known as ambulance and paramedic services.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, we can then formally forgive these debts at no tax consequences to the recipient. Gone: the stigma and distress of being pursued by bill collectors. All this consistent with satisfying HIPPA needs.

I never got to wear my Class A's in my last year of being the Army. I have them all set up but I don't meet the standards to get back in them. I would love to so I can get a photo (just need a waist up shot). So I am back to cutting out a lot of Cokes and soda drinking and getting back into running. Wish me luck. The uniform in my profile is of me in Sadir City, Iraq and was the last year I was in.
