How does the movie "Green Book" shed light on the impact discrimination can make on creating friendship?

In the current environment of the rioting associated with Black Lives Matter (BLM), I see the exclusion of facts that will show all lives matter in that PEOPLES from many cultures are impacted by negative injustices across the Earth. The Caucasian American and Negro American relationship has been much highlighted throughout History. But if reasonably thinking human beings apply this existence of evil and cruelty to wherever it exists, even in the absence of religion, good can prevail when mankind chooses to be kind, fair, and just.

Thank you my friend and sister-in-Christ PO3 Phyllis Maynard. I concur with you that each and every human life is important. Faith in God through the atonement of the Christ is the only answer to all of mankind's problems [for an individual]

Great post, PO3 Phyllis Maynard. You're so right about others being ignored. The most glaring example is how 140,000 US citizens were interred during WWII, all because of the ethnic heritage. The justification was that there may have been some spies among them. Yeah, well we've seen spies of many ethnicities, so why don't we just lock everybody up? They sure didn't lock up folks of German or Italian descent during WWII just because of their heritage.

It's unfortunate that some are taught to hate our country which gives them so much opportunity. And sometimes it takes foreign born citizens to show people that opportunities exist when you put forth effort. The pursuit of happiness is a personal journey. Happiness can't be given to someone as it's never truly appreciated.
Nations always progress through the following sequence:
1. from bondage to spiritual faith;
2. from spiritual faith to great courage;
3. from courage to liberty;
4. from liberty to abundance;
5. from abundance to complacency;
6. from complacency to apathy;
7. from apathy to dependence;
8. from dependence back into bondage.

Cpl (Join to see) those enumerations are powerful insight. It makes me wonder if we are destined to keep reliving mistakes generation after generation, because 3 generations of so the cycle starts again. On the chess board, by death, either we individually learn the lesson or do not learn the lesson.

PO3 Phyllis Maynard Some of us understand. Understanding and reflection desired for wisdom could stop the cycle if put into practice. Unfortunately, hubris is a symptom of complacency and there is a lot of hubris today.
