Should we be teaching Critical Race Theory in our military universities and perhaps in our leadership courses?

Any training offered (or forced) in a "military university" or "leadership course" should be oriented toward the protection and defense of the United States of America. The oath of enlistment is certainly a guiding statement.

SSG Bill McCoy - Don't put that on unions. Unions formed in coal country in response to the indentured servitude of the mining operations and ultimately created the middle class.

SPC John Tacetta - It's not a criticism of unions, but rather a comment about how good paying jobs, union or not, in the coal and steel industries, more or less encouraged many to forgo education. With modernization of both industries, AND with corporate greed, workers were displaced with no other job skills. Successive generations of workers followed their parents into steel and coal jobs while, as noted, forgoing education either college OR training in other skilled labor jobs. The most recent generation - those with <10 years, are young enough to retrain and get jobs. Those with decades in those jobs, even if they get job training have a hard time getting jobs due to age discrimination.

Teaching history should include all segments of our society. Not all of our policies and practices stood the tests of time. Should we not know the bigger picture going forward?
What are the contributions of non-white, female and LBGT+ servicemembers? Are they less than white male contributions?
How does the treatment of servicemembers that don't look or speak like you affect unit cohesiveness?

Studied sociology years ago. CRT was not mentioned by name, but it was a serious topic that all sociologists refer to. And the military should prepare by knowing about it.

As a veteran form the 70s it always seemed that the military has been used for social experimenting. So I say no.
