Don't have a favorite as all three are special in some way. The Airborne Brigade of the 1st Cav was the first and the rarest. The SF combat patch represented the most unique of my assignments in RVN. And, finally, the Americal patch represented a tour that was most challenging from a leadership standpoint. All different, all special.

Awarded 3. 278th ACR (TN Army NG), 1st ID (278th OPCON to Division at beginning of OIF3), 42nd ID (NY National Guard, 278th OPCON to 42nd for remainder of OIF3). Only ever wore 278th Cav or 1st ID. 42nd ID patch is a f***ing rainbow.

I am former US Army. But, during the Invasion of Iraq, my unit was assigned to the First Marines. We stayed with 1st Marine Division for about four months before being transferedback to our BN. So, I'm one of the few Soldiers that is authorized the 1st MD combat patch. Also, I was honored to serve with the Marines, USN, and USAF while in Africa.
