Sean Connery, no doubt in this military mind.

Daniel Craig has been doing a very fine portrayal of Bond. If you read the original books as well as John Gardner's "Bond" books, Craig fits the bill very well. I also like Connery and Lazenby. Brosnan played a decent Bond but was a bit cheesy at times. The worst two were Dalton and Moore. Both just too campy.

On a new movie update, filming for the next Bond movie will start in December 2014 with a release time of October 2015. Craig will reprise as will Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw. No word on villains or the ever present Bond girls.

SSG William Jones - We are not only Army Military Police brothers but we are also in the same age group. My 71st birthday is next month. I have to laugh at myself because when I was 20 I thought people in their 60's and 70's were really old.

SSG William Jones - Funny story about my MP duty white hat. 1st SGT Beauchamp came through my gate one morning pulled his car over to the side and told me the "saddle" in my white hat was not authorized. I thought he was going to jump in my schizer about my cover but he surprised me when he said he liked the way it looked.
The 1st SGT actually talked our CO CAPT Conine into allowing the "saddle" in our white hats. Those class A khakis were hard to keep looking good through a shift. My wife keeps telling me I'm in my second childhood. LOL !! **FOREVER YOUNG**

Sean Connery for sure. Others did a credible job, but they were all a step below the original.

I think Craig has done a good job as Bond as well, just partial to Sean Connery in the role.

While Sean Connery will always be the quintessential Bond, I have found Daniel Craig to be the baddest of the group. His portrayal as the damaged yet unstoppable spy has been the best of the series

Sean Connery takes the prize but I am kind of impressed with Daniel Craig's performances with the early bond. I am not a roger more bond fan but I did enjoy George lazenby's bond.

Craig plays the anti-social Bond very well. No attachments, use everybody as a means to an end, mission first.

I feel the humor from moore on kind of detracted a little and yes the gritty mission first side did make things a little more realistic

Connery is the original & the best but I liked them all. I'm not as fond of the Daniel Craig movies though - not because of him, I think he's excellent - but because the franchise took too much of a reality twist. No more "Q" and his cool devices or Bond's whimsical quips and especially - No more Bond Girls - 'sup with that?

You're right about the franchise... I think it started going south after Cubby Broccoli was no longer involved (the last one he was involved with was Golden Eye, 1995 - didn't produce it but was a consulting producer). Hasn't been the same since. He knew Bond!

Of course Sean Connery... he is the original and set the standard. Always liked Roger Moore as well since he was the Bond I grew up with. On a side note, I thought George Lazenby did an excellent job but never had the chance to return after "Her Majesty's Secret Service" since Connery returned to the role. All the rest I would lump together as "also ran".

SFC Mark Merino , it would have been nice to have seen him (George Lazenby) play the role a couple more times to see how he 'developed' the character... I still put him in 3rd after Connery and Moore though, even with only the one performance.
He never had a chance though once Connery agreed to return to the role...no one would have!
