Knew the Lt Col in this one... I know it seems like the higher ranking person bears the brunt of the punishment but I will say, she was not "innocent" in this either.

Some people never learn. I had a new boss come in to be the chief of plans (MI, LTC), his ski trips to Garmisch, with subordinate 1LT, got his wife upset. His whole focus for months was fighting being taken off the bn command list. My office mate, a SAMS grad carried the office, with some help from me, but a Major player was AWOL in mind.

Maj Werner Saemmler-Hindrichs - Higher privilege must be accompanied by higher standards. If those standards are violated, equivalent penalties should ensue.
Alternatively, standards should remain chinstrap at all ranks but penalties should match the privilege. This is the view to which I ascribe, but certainly one of these models should be implemented.
