There are three problems though. 1) Service Members are among the most underpaid professionals in the country. 2) 2.1% is not going to cover the rise in inflation for the next year. 3) It doesn't matter how big the raise is, if congress cannot pass a budget, and ends up furloughing, sequestering, and IOUing employees because the budget didn't pass, 2.1% of no money is still nothing.

Six or seven years ago we were doing pretty good and then it leveled off

how charitable of them... and they get a 5% rase whether they vote for it or not... is this even enough to cover the Cost of Living increase this year...
