Thanks Maj William W. 'Bill' Price for sharing the great news that you were recently honored to represent the Mecklenburg Chapter Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) at the 200th birthday celebration of the Old Baldy Lighthouse. I caught a brief glimpse of the "guy in colonial attire starting at 0:45."
Kudos for your non-speaking role. I hope you had a very enjoyable time.

That is awesome. My brother is a member of the Sons of the Confederacy and he is a participant of reenactments in Charleston S.C. Thank you for sharing this.

You are quite welcome, SFC James Shanks. Like your brother I too am a member of SCV. Hope you can consider joining as well.

Maj William W. 'Bill' Price - I have talked to my brother about the verification of a relative that was an officer in the Confederate Army. My understanding is that i will have to prove that I had a family member in the Confederate Army.

SFC James Shanks: Your brother has handled the family member in the Confederate Army part for you by virtue of his membership in SCV. For officers, the Military Order of the Stars and Bars (MOSB) only requires collateral lineage...so you are likely good to go there as well (just need the paperwork). I am also a member of MOSB based on the service of my great (3) uncle Captain Eason Blue Wood, 34th Alabama. His brother, Corporal Henry Wood, 12th Alabama, is my great (2) grandfather.
