Great story and theme. I have a 30-year old I try to tell this to all the time. To date he has ignored me- it will dawn on him as he works into his 70s if he lives that long. Hard work and starting NOT AT THE TOP is sometimes required.

LTC (Join to see): I had a very difficult time trying to find a job/career in 1974; after I had graduated from my university. In fact: I was homeless after my university years. I ultimately joined the Army. Best Decision of My Life!
Good MORNING, LIEUTENANT COLONEL!

Thanks LTC (Join to see). Long ago and far away I learned that investing time and funds in a recession or boom both had advantages and disadvantages. Basically investments in a bust economy AKA recession allows you to purchase more for the same investment. From an employer perspective this allows you to pick and choose employees based on merit for a reasonable starting salary in a down economy.
Worth is relative after all in the economy of man.
In God's economy each of us is eternally valuable since Jesus died for HIS own.
In any economy it is wise to do your best with time, talent and treasure.
Thanks for alerting me Maj Marty Hogan
