Should be as far as I'm concerned, but unfortunately that doesn't hold true for the Commander-in-Chief (Bill Clinton); should have been impeached for adultery, not lying to Congress - just my opinion. In the end the military should be hled to hire standard SSG Toryn Green. This was the right call in my opinion. Sorry for getting off track above with my favorite POTUS.

Burroughs Problem with going after the Number 50th Ranked Lawyer in the Country at the Time (President Bill Clinton) Who's Wife was #25th Ranked Lawyer in the Country at the Time, Got to Know Your Ps from Your Qs. (Which Most in Congress Fail Miserably At). They went after Bill Clinton for "Whitewater" and found Him Guilty of Lying about a Knobber. The Gentleman (I use the Term Very Loosely) that was Heading Up the Inquiry was Having an Affair with his Current Wife while the Wife at the times was dealing with Cancer. That Witch Hunt, Kangaroo Court is one of the Things that Turned Me Off on the Republican Party. Even if they Had Gone After Him for his Escapades, Dalliances with Women, It wasn't much of a Secret and would have just looked Political, Pathetic and Sad.

Even if they don't go the punitive route they can convene a panel to determine what grade he last honorably served in and retire him at that grade. That's if they are feeling lenient, and nobody is leaning that way these days. At least one fairly recent case has done this and retired a GO as LTC. Spouses are off-limits no matter what rank. Even in the civilian world that's just not something one does if they have any honor at all.
