#5 -- the armless guy and the legless guy riding the tandem bike -- brought back fond memories of my time in Letterman Gen Hosp recovering from my wounds. My buddy "Greek" lost the use of his left arm in Viet Nam while I lost the use of my right arm. Not to be deterred, we would go to the bowling alley to play pin ball. We stood shoulder to shoulder with our motionless arms hanging limp between us -- looking almost like Siamese twins -- and our working hands each on a flipper button. The first few days folks gathered around to watch the comical show as one of us would lob the ball to the other, in hopes of them hitting it with their flipper. It was nearly impossible to coordinate and we ridiculed one another for missed shots. Within a week or so those same folks were gathering around to watch a miracle. Without a word we were of a single mind and could play all day on a single quarter. We would be ahead so many free games that when we left for chow each day the manager would come over and unplug the machine in order to reset it. One time we walked away with 54 free games on there. Life can suck -- or your can fill it with incredible memories -- your call.

Wonderful story. All of us have limitations (seen or unseen) and if we can find someone who can pick up the missing pieces, just think what we can accomplish...
