I remember that I would tape up the end of the BFA with electrical tape because it would come unscrewed and the rifle would function in semi-auto only. I taped up the ring on the end, and taped that to the side of the BFA, and it did not come loose again. I suspect that by doing that, I defeated the safety if you fired a live round after that. Good news is that I always made sure there was no BFA on the rifle when I did load it with live rounds. Great share though, that is one of those things we always wondered about.
