By the way, my paternal grandfather was a British Army-Expeditionary-Force Lance Corporal who served from Gallipoli, Turkey in 1915 through France where he was wounded. He died in 1963 when I was 7. He kept his experiences of the war to himself like many soldiers in WWI and WWII.
This video is obviously biased and downplays the ferocity of the fighting by many - especially after Russia sued for peace in 1917 and the forces were redirected to the Western Front.

The German Infantry was very lethal and tactical sound. I don't think we subscribe enough to the concept of attrition causing battles and wars to be lost by failing logistics, production capability, shooting down seasoned pilots, killing the enemy, superior numbers, and innovation.
