That's great I have to fight to get coverage through the VA. My wife has to continue to work so that she can afford health Care coverage. My mother struggles to meet her health Care bills through Medicare and has to buy a supplemental plan and supplemental drug plan. Something seems a little out of balance when we can extend healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants who are breaking the law and yet we cannot provide health Care ...affordable health Care to our own citizens

I understand that, if California wants to pay for it on their own, then so be it. It's a slap in the face to all those immigrants though who have worked hard and have done everything legally and by the book to be here.
As far as seceding from the Union, that was sarcasm. California, as a sanctuary state, doesn't seem to respect U.S. citizens or Federal law like most of the other states do. In my opinion, their politics are the worst in the Nation

PO3 (Join to see) - Possible? Yes. How does that change the underlying intent though? The citizens of California want to solve a problem that is occurring within their own state borders, and they want to use their own tax dollars. Plus, they may already have people lying about their age, so this new law may not materially impact anything. It's just now that people above the new age limit will be lying instead of the people above the old age limit.

This post brings to mind one song, my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown.
Not only did California extend healthcare coverage to illegal aliens at taxpayer expense, they also signed into law an unconstitutional bill requiring all presidential candidates on the ballot to release their tax returns prior to be including on the ballot.
It seems the loonies are definitely in control on that left coast state.

It's time to cut ALL Federal funding to the State of California and let's see how much they have to spend. Maybe if the were more concerned for the homeless veterans than the illegals then change could be had.
