This makes more sense than the new plastic replacement lid at Starbucks. We bring our own mugs to the local we frequent in the afternoon so none of this impacts us.

I know 7-11 and Cum and Go have done something like this for years- you buy a mug and refill it for x months. They change the mug- you can recycle or keep the old one. The refills factors the cost of cup savings and you pay only for the coffee. Problem solved.

Zojirushi, the rice cooker people. They make 12 and 18 oz travel cups that keep stuff hot or cold about half of forever. Their 68 oz thermos is superb, also, Wildfowl magazine rated it the best duck blind thermos available a few years back.

That’s Totally Acceptable 1SG Steven Imerman and Environmentally Friendly! In addition, it IS an Elvis mug and you don’t plan on disposing of it after you’ve finished your coffee!

For the price Starbucks charges, they should provide gold cups (that I could take somewhere else for some decent coffee)
