At the end of the day I doubt Trump's supporters will care. Trump expects people in the executive, including law enforcement, to be loyal the the person of the president. We moved away from that for good reason. But once again, I doubt his supporters will care. As long as Trump can provide any sort of explanation they'll just let it happen and support it. I'm unsure where their loyalty comes from at this point, an inability to admit they made a mistake and are human? Who knows.

Never underestimate a person's ability to deny the truth if they have to admit they were wrong in the first place.

I'm not convinced Congress will do anything if we see a series of firings within the DOJ in an attempt to end the Mueller investigation.

MAJ James Woods I am unfortunately giving a lot of credence to that idea. If we're thinking it, likely Trump is too.

SPC Kevin Ford - We just watched Trump pardon Scooter Libby whom was convicted of lying to FBI during a special investigation that was initiated by Comey under the Bush administration. It's not a coincidence; it's a beta test for public reaction in preparation of pardoning more people who are convicted of lying to federal investigators.

Due to all the chatter last night, I believed then that Rosenstein might get canned today (Friday the 13th). He may survive, but his days may be numbered. It's been reported that Mueller intends to provide him with his findings of 4 specifications pertaining to obstruction. This, sooner rather than later. To me, it appears they are escalating as if trying to goad POTUS into firing Rosenstein. They may believe that will be the last straw re: obstruction. I doubt Congress will react as strongly as some have said in the past if he is fired. If Rosenstein is gone, Mueller goes next and/or any delivery of finding(s) may fall on deaf ears. Hopefully it will run its course and we can move on. Too many issues require the Congress getting back on track for this to go on indefinitely IMO. Even though it seems like an eternity, an investigation of this scope is time-intensive. The WH and spokesmen have gotten more aggressive with shifting the narrative to the process being corrupt. They hold all the power, so they may decide to roll the dice by moving to fire, and hope to do damage control for the 2018 elections.
