Thank you, Sir. We had a rough start , but Dad & I pulled it all together and became almost inseparable, after my first tour to Korea. He even spent a month with me in Germany.

SFC Richard Williamson - I can relate. It wasn't until I graduated from the Drill Sergeant Academy that we began to form a real relationship. In the years before he passed we spent a lot of time on the phone and my brother and sister would complain that when we got together they had very little time to talk with him. I'm glad you finally got close to your father - There is no comparison.

Richard you did one hell of a job putting this together and my God bless you and your family. My dad died long before his time and never wanted to talk about WWII and the Navy in which he served. Thanks for the great post.
