Good morning Col Burroughs. Asking questions is important. It is what leads to discussion and eventually to knowledge. Some people are good at it; they ask questions honestly and want to know; others ask leading questions in the hopes of getting the answers they think they already know. Honest questions are as important (or maybe more so) than the answers.

We used to joke at Ft. Greeley, "There is a beautiful woman behind every tree. Unfortunately, you can't find the trees because of the forest!" The other joke was: "Alaska, the land of the one sided tree." since the heavy winds in winter caused the pines to only grow on one side, away from the wind.
The most irritating people are those who are not only stupid, they are proud of their stupidity.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - I think the best questions are those you think about in advance and those you formulate and ask yourself each day. I like you're perspective on questions as well Charlie - thanks for all the great quotes/MEMEs. Let me leave you with this final thought:

"May you continue to ask questions, gain valuable knowledge, and continue to learn; ask yourself the tough questions like what challenges are you facing today or ask yourself if you're inspired and how is the moral around you? May you always be positive toward questioning things around you and your attitude; may you keep yourself healthy; and keep your family safe, secure, happy, and healthy. Today ask yourself - what did I accomplish and how did make you feel?" - COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

The more you question, the more you can learn.

On my first day at my job (at 13) I was advised. "Keep your eyes and your ears open, so you won't ask too many stupid questions." There were many people I had the misfortune to work with never asked a sensible question. They weren't around for long, no matter how good they looked on paper. My background was in Electronics, where people were expected to be able to think for themselves. Other fields were likely different.

Good “Saturday” Morning “Burroughs’ Posse Leader,” from the COOL crystal clear skies of the SW corner of Greater Boston where the current temperature is 56° with 45% humidity and wind NNE 2 mph... Due to a particulary busy Saturday, I will be on and off RP throughout the day, so may miss a few things... LOL! “Question Day!” Why Not?

1) "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning." - Albert Einstein

2) "Kick-start your brain. New ideas come from watching something, talking to people, experimenting, asking questions and getting out of the office!" - Steve Jobs

3) "For true success ask yourself these four questions: Why? Why not? Why not me? Why not now?" - James Allen

4) "If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers." - Thomas Pynchon

5) "Once the law starts asking questions, there's no stopping them." - William S. Burroughs

COL Mikel J. Burroughs Very pleased that you and your wife had a great but long weekend, my friend! Time well spent with Bella is important to your relationship and is more important than anything peripheral to the other things that you do...and I hope you always keep that in mind... The new week starts in s few hours... Mine is getting ready for my September DAV meeting on Saturday... Lots to do... Have a great week, Mikel...
