Good morning Col Burroughs and Posse. All good thoughts today.
What's the difference between those who say they are happy and those who say they are not? Mostly what they tend to focus on. People who focus on the happy times, bring up happy memories, celebrate positive events no matter how small are happy. People who when reflecting on their day/life/memories see mostly the negative tend to be unhappy. I hear it all the time. You get what you focus on. Focus on the good, on the positive, on the happy and you will be much happier. It sounds simple but if you have been doing the opposite, it takes time to build the habit. However, it si worth it! No better time to start than now.

I expect you many happy memories and that you are helping and encouraging others to have happy memories. I hope that you are content in your circumstances and increasing in compassion and demonstration of love. No doubt you have experienced joy enough to dance. I hope and pray that each of us are free from anything that would drag us down or bring sadness to others. ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.’ [Romans 15:13 ESV] my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray LORD that YOU cleanse each of YOU adopted sons and daughters of any impurity which inhibits YOUR love from flowing through us. I pray that YOUR light shines through each of when we enter a room, home, mode of common transportation. Empower us bring calm and peace into areas of turmoil. Enable our smile to be contagious. ‘Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.’ [Psalm 51:10-12 ESV]
I lift each adopted son and daughter of YOURS and their family members who are grieving the death and/or serious illness of loved ones; grieving for any other reason including widows and widowers. ‘Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning' [Psalm 30:5 ESV]
I pray LORD that YOU punctuate their grief with the joy of the LORD and the peace that surpasses all understanding. I pray that each one is able to sleep peacefully with pleasant dreams. ‘For the Lord will not cast off forever, but, though he cause grief, he will have compassion according to the abundance of his steadfast love; for he does not afflict from his heart or grieve the children of men.’ Lamentations 3:31-33 ESV]
I pray that each adopted son and daughter who reads or hears this prayer is content in our circumstances day in and day out. I pray for an increase of compassion and kindness in each of us. Let YOU love shine through us to those hurting around us. 'But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. May the joy of the LORD strengthen each of us. 'For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.' [Matthew 13:16-17 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Good Wednesday morning, Burroughs posse leader from the cloudy, but soon to clear day here in the Greater Boston Area...

It now is: “Happy Moments Day!” It makes me "Happy" to share the following quotes with you all!

"Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of one’s values." - Ayn Rand

"For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness." Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for." - Joseph Addison

"Happiness is a gift and the trick is not to expect it, but to delight in it when it comes." - Charles Dickens

"We don’t laugh because we’re happy – we’re happy because we laugh." - William James

"Today is life – the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto. Dale Carnegie

"Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits." - Thomas Jefferson

There are different levels of happiness for different people, so know this...

"Leaders have happy moments when they achieve their objectives and move people toward a shared vision." — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
