I don't think it's so much "delta worries" as it is the ever increasing cost of things. It cost me $50 to fill up my Chevy Cruze last week. April of last year before I went to the sandbox, it cost me between $20 and $30.

There also seems to be a new shortage every week. First it was gas, then it was meat. Now apparently plastic is in short supply because Gatorade is getting hard to come by.

Not only the cost but the physical size of the food items as an example is being reduced while the cost goes up. In addition to so called shortage problem it seems greed is a major factor and the American public is paying for it. I've found some things so overpriced I refuse to consider even buying the items. I've seen also some stores selling items for as much as Four to Five dollars more than another store, same, item, size and brand. I did NOT buy from that store and went to the other and did buy it there for a more reasonable price.

Thank you my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for posting an assessment by the Commerce Department. Of course this a lagging observation as opposed to a prediction. I had to chuckle at the cynical 'analysis' that COVID is a major factor in spending. I concur with my friend LTC Marc King's assessment
It would be great if the Biden administration Commerce Department is light years ahead of his foreign policy which is abysmal IMHO
