So who gives a damn!!!!!! about your policy. Lets see. A military serviceman who sign -up to protect our country, witness several people struggling in the watering. Without thinking of himself, he jumps into the water, frees the two human beings and unfortunately drowns himself. Now after the fact, some SOB who is a pencil pusher brings up the fact, this serviceman whom just lost his life, violated a written policy*.Note; Easy fix!! The person/service member or who ever they are that is bring this up ,Push them into the water, Wait until there fixing to drown and yell-out,( Need help )or do you want be to follow your freaking policy???? Question solved... GySgt. Wallace.J.L. 0441/5811 12 yr veteran and retired police/marshal. I hope whom ever brought this up can look into the mirror without vomiting on your scumbag self. Thank you................

If you are not trained as a rescue swimmer than you are placing yourself at risk. As a leader I can stand strong on directions I would feel very strongly about, 1) Rescue swimmers go in to save anyone in distress and 2) I would not risk my team that is not properly trained to try and save someone that got themselves into a bad situation.
