Lt Col Charlie Brown One of my former students went there starting in 2013. I only heard from her once after she started. I always wondered if she made it or not.

Thank you my friend Lt Col Charlie Brown for honoring my West Point class. USMA class of 1980. We were the firts USMA class to include women as cadets [USNA and USAFA also inducted women at that point.
1. Over 1,400 cadets were admitted to the class of 1980 the bulk in July 1976]
a. Four cadets died before graduation.
b. 913 cadets graduated including 62 women [out of 119 who entered the academy]
c. Class of 1980 members entered the Academy on 8 July 1974 (3), 7 July 1975 (18), and 7 July 1976 (892). We graduated on the following dates: 28 May, 26 June, 24 July, 18 August, 9 September, and 20 December 1980. Our Graduation Address was given by The Honorable Harold Brown, Secretary of Defense.
2. While we were cadets two movies were filmed at West Point.
a. MacArthur [Gregory Peck] 1977
b. Women at West Point 1979 TV movie.
3. Many of my classmate have died since graduation including two women classmates
a. Becky Blyth-Hardy [my sister-in-Christ] died February 15, 2021
b. Joan S Grey died June 1, 2022
