Army veteran sentenced to 7 years in prison on Capitol riot charges

An off-duty Virginia police officer who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan, 6, 2021, with a fellow officer was sentenced Thursday to more than seven years in prison, matching the longest prison sentence so far among hundreds of Capitol riot cases.
Former Rocky Mount Police Sgt. Thomas Robertson declined to address the court before U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper sentenced him to seven years and three months in prison. Cooper also sentenced Robertson to three years of supervised release after his prison term.

"Was there an insurrection[?]" Yes, attempted coups are insurrections.
"Democrat narrative" Could be, don't know, as I've never been a Democrat.
"Veteran Ashli Babbitt is [deserving] of a congressional inquiry" No, she was in the process of committing a felony and the Capitol Police officer did the very same thing that Babbitt had been trained to do in the Air Force.
[H]er death was needless" Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
"[H]er story needs to be told in a partisan way" It's more important to tell the truth than to be partisan, not that truthfulness is a trait that is found in the Trump camp.
"[S]he’s my American hero" That's your choice, but once you do that, you lose the ability to criticize those who make equally poor choices in their heroes.
