Our family has driven by it a dozen times.

We saw the smoke yesterday evening thinking it was a major truck fire on the nearby freeway.
This is how dilapidated it looked before it caught on fire.

In 1943, 500 aircraft landed here one day in Edmonton on the way to Russia as part of the lend- lease.

Because the building was pretty much abandoned, We worry if it was broken into and set on fire by druggies/homeless. It could have also been old wiring that caused the fire.This is just speculation on my part. We have homeless, but not as bad as California.
