Thanks for letting us know SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that the "Army is reaching out directly to a group of technologists and researchers who train in figuring out how to break into computer networks they’re not supposed to — people we might normally have avoided and much of the department still does actually.” Hopefully this do some good in combating cyber warfare - soon.
I hope President-elect Donald Trump's administration will nominate wise people to replace Ash Carter as Secretary of Defense; Eric Fanning as Army Secretary, and Mabus as Navy Secretary very soon after he is inaugurated.

This is a positive change and I'm happy with what they are doing. We need to start approaching Cyber Security as a collective and bring together the best minds. Could you imagine what places like Google and Apple together could accomplish if they combined the security personnel to secure their networks and architecture. Unfortunately that wont happen, but I'm sure the people there do reach out to those that make money other ways.

Very good statement and DoD has come a long way. However DoD is still learning alot from the private sector. The pentagon is a very secure network within the DoDIN, but the basic user is what is killing our networks with malicious malware from within.
