When I see blog my first thought is trog as in troglodyte CW5 Jack Cardwell
As somebody familiar with armored warfare since 1917 I have to chuckle when anybody talks about the best tank or naval vessel since best is dependent upon operating environment.
For naval vessels - rivers, swamps, littoral and open sea regions present different requirements.
For tanks - desert sands, jungles, deciduous and pine forests, firm-expansive ground such as the steppes, built-up urban and suburban areas present different challenges and requirements.
Tanks generally require infantry to accompany them - sometimes infantry has primary role and sometimes tanks have primary roles. In WWII half tracks accompanied tanks in major campaigns.
