We're excited to report that the World War I Renault FT-17 light tank ("5 of Hearts") was successfully emplaced yesterday on its permanent foundation in what will become the Museum's Nation Overseas Gallery. The FT-17 was the last of the four macro artifacts that, because of their size and weight, had to be prepositioned on their permanent foundations before the Museum walls will eventually go up. Below you can see a picture of the FT-17's installation and read about the first macro—the M3 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicle—that was installed earlier.
You can also read about a generous gift from S3 and one of our all-star grassroots volunteers, Nick Paganella. We have the best supporters!
Stay tuned!
