Canada’s Justin Trudeau fights carbon tax backlash from all sides

"Carbon tax!" Total BS and the only ones that get hurt are the people. It will do nothing"..........."

NO one wants more taxes, but if they are based on established need they can be acceptable. Unfortunately carbon taxes have not been shown to be based on any true need or science for that matter.

Like the " Green Initiative," an actual in practice concept, We see here with companies that don't even produce electricity being suppliers and utility bill doubling. A giant scam to extract money from consumers. Choose where You buy Your electricity from put still pay what You did and double that to save money . BS Its called You paying for new power plants instead of the utility company doing it with what You already paid and they keep the profit from the added billing item. from all the money You had been paying them and You pay for new stuff instead of them paying as they used to do. The excuse is to develop alternate power such as water and solar. When they did that these new companies that didn't exit before were suddenly all in place, amazing isn't it ?

Water runoff tax, another new one, well nature decided where rain runoff headed but now it goes across Your property Your taxed. Well lets see, You have a paved driveway so it will follow that path. You may live on the side of a hill where the water runs downhill, it was doing that already before anything was even built. This is the latest within the last year. Granted construction can effect water flows but water will still try to head where it always did although man and even beavers (the only animal I can think of beside man) has altered some facets of His surrounding by altering streams etc. but that not what is being taxed.

Carbon tax ? lets see maybe We should also be taxed on the air We breath ! After all that air is passing by us and We are using it. This is government and industry out of control and the consumer and residents are the victims !

If You think these aren't real problems well the Utility companies and government have made them so by sticking their greedy hands in our pockets again ! Could improvements be made ? of course they could but now the consumer pays even more so the electric companies can make more money ? When Yo uuse less electricity but You expense doubled suddenly in one month You think there isn't a problem. They they tell You well can save 30% by adding this company, yep 30% of the extra expense added they billed You for, not the original amount. So they will reduce that scam overcharge by 30% and only rip You off for &0% instead of 100%. There are constant phone calls to rope You into these scams by many companies to Buy Your electric power from. Greed isn't anything new but its still alive and well and making even more victims of the consumers !

Perhaps some of You have an opinion on this, I don't know how widespread the practice is but it appears to be less than honest. There is also a provision to add solar to homes but they end up owning Your roof due to their installation on Your property . I don't have all the answers and perhaps some other on RP also have this experience or the some resembling that. I'd be interested in Your input and maybe thing You may know I don't. I'm not sure how many other states if any are effected but Massachusetts is.
