The DDG is a great platform, if they want to add more stuff to it, why not extend the hull size? It is a great platform, we know how it performs, we have spare parts and procedures of the systems, and we have the technology and expertise in the yards for depot level repairs. Why go to a new hull where all of that will have to go through growing pains? I don't know.... I am biased to the DDG (Machinery Officer, DCA and CHENG), of course...
